Feb 2019- Aug 2020:  Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

I have worked as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on the project titled 'Impact of Climate Change on flow and sediment in the Rivers of Eastern India' at the School of Water Resources, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)- Kharagpur. The project was funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.

 

Main Responsibilities:

In this current project, I was mainly responsible for geospatial data processing, catchment (rainfall-runoff) modelling, flood risk mapping and report writing. [details]

Jan 2018- Jan 2019:  International Students Ambassador

I am currently working as an International Students Ambassador for the University of Leeds since January 2018.

 

Main Responsibilities:

As an International Students Ambassador, my major responsibilities are to communicate with prospective students mainly international students to provide all of their required study related queries through email or using any other social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, live chat etc). I am also responsible for shooting campus video for the marketing and publicity of the campus and facilities available on the campus to study.

 

My other duties are also to organise campus tours for the students and their families to provide information in the campus and also to give presentation and share own experiences with all the prospective students seeking for admission in the university. These roles help me to develop my communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.  [details]

Oct 2018:  UAV Drone Data Analyst

I have done an internship as a Drone Data Analyst at Geocurve Ltd. (specialist survey company) in Kelvedon, Essex for one month (Oct 2018).

 

Main Responsibilities:

My main responsibility in this role was to process the UAV data collected by drone surveying to generate 3D point clouds using Pix4DMapper, LSS and Global Mapper for creating Digital Terrain Model (DTM) and Orthophotos which then generally supplied to the environmental consultancies for their different project works. I was also trained to fly several products of DJI Drones (e.g. DJI Phantom, Inspire and Mavic Pro). [details

Feb- Aug 2018:  Junior Flood Modeller

I worked at JBA Consulting, Skipton, UK (head office) as a Junior Flood Modeller (Technical Assistant Grade) for six months from February 08 to August 10, 2018.

 

Main Responsibilities:

I was responsible for fluvial, pluvial and coastal flood modelling of both urban and rural areas. I worked on the project titled 'Wales National Flood Risk Assessment (Wales-NFRA)' in which my duties were to highlighting errors in DTM for fixing, develop understanding and taking decisions whether to remove or insert flood defences (e.g. culverts) to maintain the natural water flow. [details]

Nov 2017- Jan 18:  Project Assistant

I did the Student Placement with JBA Consulting at Saltaire Office, UK as part of the Professional Development module in my MSc course. During this time I worked as a Project Assistant on the 'Upland Landscape Assessment of River Wyre Catchment' project funded by the Environmental Agency.

 

Main Responsibilities:

My major responsibilities were to carefully identify the areas where to implement Natural Flood Management (NFM) within the River Wyre Catchment based on the river dynamics and landscape characteristics. Also to delineate the pre and post 1888 rivers and analysis the rainfall runoff patterns for different timely events (e.g. 10, 1000, 1000 years). Other responsibilities including desk study to develop an in-depth understanding about NFM through working with natural processes. [details]

Oct 2017- Jan 18:  Store Assistant

I also have working experience in customer dealing environment by working with Domino's as a Store Assistant for four months from October 2017 to January 2018.

 

Main Responsibilities:

I was mainly responsible to deal with customers over phone or in the store. Other responsibilities including communication with other staffs to maintain work environment and also to keep records of available raw materials in the store. [details]

June- July 2017: GIS Data Analyst

In BSES-Delhi, I did an internship as a GIS Data Analyst for two months from June 01 to July 31, 2017 before moved to Leeds.

 

Main Responsibilities:

As part of a team, my responsibilities were to utilise my GIS skills for spatial analysis for assets management and electricity distribution within the territory. I was also responsible to communicate my team leader for updating individual works assigned to me.

ArcGIS and Erdas Imagine.
