Flood Expo-2018 at NEC, Birmingham

In September 12-13, 2018, I have attended the 'Flood Expo' at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, United Kingdom. Flood Expo is the world's largest flood resilience, mitigation, management and rescue exhibition and conference where more than 200 exhibitors showcased innovative solutions for flood management thorough the world. The event also covered more than 100 expert-led seminars where scholars, industrialists, government representatives delivered lectures on the present challenges for flood mitigation and management and the future directions.

At this event, I visited many stalls to know about their contributions and future goal to create a sustainable flood resilient society. I also listened to many scholars and learnt from some interesting presentations. Among those, I really enjoyed the expert panel session chaired by Alastair Chisholm, Director of Policy, CIWEM on the topic 'Visions for a Flood Resilient UK by 2050' the initiative taken by the Environmental Agency.
